DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ROME
Welcome to Rome, a city of timeless beauty, where Classical antiquities, medieval buildings, Renaissance palaces, and Baroque churches come together in a breathtaking tapestry of history and culture. Upon arrival at Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO), your private driver will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name, ready to transfer you comfortably to your hotel in the heart of the historic center. Today, enjoy a day at leisure, take time to relax, explore the charming streets at your own pace, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the Eternal City as you prepare to embark on your unforgettable Italian adventure!
DAY 2 – ROME SIGHTSEEING
Enjoy an immersive 6-hour sightseeing tour with your private driver and expert local guide, who will bring the wonders of Rome to life. Begin at the Vatican Museums, home to the magnificent treasures of the Popes. Inside the Sistine Chapel, admire Michelangelo’s breathtaking ceiling frescoes, as your guide provides fascinating insights into his masterpiece. Next, step inside St. Peter’s Basilica to marvel at another of Michelangelo’s iconic works, the deeply moving Pietà. After a short stop for lunch cross the Tiber River to explore the Colosseum, the legendary arena where gladiators once battled for glory. DAY 3 – TO VENICE
You will begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel by our driver, who will take you to the train station. From there, you’ll board a first-class ride on Italy’s super-fast and comfortable high-speed train to Venice. As you travel through the scenic Italian countryside, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the smooth and picturesque journey. Upon your arrival in Venice, our private boat will be waiting for you at the train station. In just 15 minutes, the boat will transfer you directly to your hotel located in the heart of the historic center, providing you with your first enchanting views of Venice from the water. Once you arrive at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to unwind and begin exploring the charming streets, iconic canals, and hidden corners of Venice at your own pace. Whether you choose to take a leisurely stroll, sit at a café, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this magical city, the day is yours to experience Venice as you wish.
DAY 4 – VENICE & GONDOLA
At 9am, meet our local guide at the hotel for an engaging and informative three-hour walking tour of Venice’s historic center. Stroll through St. Mark’s Square, surrounded by Palladian churches and 3th-century palaces, and admire the grandeur of the Doge’s Palace, once the seat of Venetian power. Walk across the famous Bridge of Sighs, which once connected the palace to the prisons—legend has it that Casanova made his daring escape from here! Marvel at the stunning golden mosaics inside St. Mark’s Basilica and witness one of the few remaining master artisans transform molten glass into a unique creation at a Venetian glass-blowing factory. After a break for lunch and some time to relax, embark on a private gondola tour, gliding through the city’s most hidden and enchanting canals, experiencing Venice from a truly magical perspective!
DAY 5 – VENICE – BOLOGNA – FLORENCE
At 8:00 AM, our private boat will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the meeting point with our driver to begin your journey to Florence. Midway through the trip, after approximately 1.5 hours, you’ll arrive in the stunning city of Bologna, known for its rich history, medieval architecture, and world-renowned cuisine. Once there, our local guide will be waiting to take you on a 2-hour informative walking tour, where you’ll explore the iconic Piazza Maggiore, the stunning Bologna Towers, and the historic University of Bologna, the oldest university in the world. As you wander through the city’s charming streets, your guide will share fascinating stories about Bologna’s past, from its medieval roots to its vibrant cultural present. Bologna is also famous for its arcades, so you’ll have the chance to stroll beneath the covered walkways that stretch for miles, offering a unique and shaded way to explore the city. After the tour, you’ll have free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the local trattorias, relax with a coffee in a charming café, or do some shopping for artisanal goods and gourmet products. Bologna’s food scene is a highlight, so don’t miss the chance to try some traditional dishes like tagliatelle al ragù or tortellini. DAY 6 – FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING & PISA
After breakfast join our local guide for a 3 hours walking tour and highlights: visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s monumental figure of David. Continue to the multi-coloured marble Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiore to see Giotto’s belltower and ‘Gates of Paradise’ before visiting the Piazza della Signoria, still the political heart of Florence. The area around Santa Croce Basilica is famous for the quality of its luxury goods; see a demonstration of leather work in the very place this craft first established itself. Then, there’s free time to shop for Florence’s finest or lunch…! At 2pm meet our driver for go to Pisa to admire the famous Leaning Tower where elaborate steps have been taken to prevent this landmark from falling over. Don’t miss in the same area the Cathedral and Baptistery. Back to Florence at 5pm.
DAY 7 – CHIANTI AREA
Departing at 9:00 AM, you’ll meet our friendly and knowledgeable guide for an unforgettable day exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, picturesque villages, and world-famous wines. Your journey will begin with a visit to the charming medieval hilltown of San Gimignano. Known for its striking towers and well-preserved architecture, this UNESCO World Heritage Site will transport you back in time as you stroll through its narrow streets, taking in the stunning views and rich history. After exploring San Gimignano, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Tuscany, surrounded by lush vineyards and olive groves. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to stop for lunch at a family-run winery, where you can savor delicious local dishes paired with exquisite Tuscan wines. The day continues with a visit to Greve, a typical Tuscan village known for its charming square and traditional architecture. This picturesque town will give you a real taste of authentic Tuscany. By the end of the tour, you’ll have experienced the very best of the Tuscan landscape and culture, returning to your hotel by 5:00 PM with unforgettable memories and perhaps a few bottles of fine wine!
DAY 8 – FLORENCE – POMPEII – AMALFI COAST
Your driver will transfer you to the train station for your high-speed train to Naples, reaching your destination in just 2 hours and 50 minutes. Upon arrival in Naples, our local driver will be waiting to take you on a pleasant journey to Sorrento. On the way, you’ll stop to visit the remarkable ruins of Pompeii, a city tragically buried under a thick layer of ash and pumice after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Despite this disaster, the ruins have been incredibly well-preserved, offering a fascinating glimpse into daily life during Roman times. After your guided tour of Pompeii, continue your journey to your hotel, nestled in the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.
DAY 9 – AMALFI COAST
A private full day excursion (7 hours) along the breathtaking Amalfi Coastline with your driver is sure to be a highlight to remember. You will make stops in three of the delightful towns nestled in its bays: Positano, an elegant and colourful town with a history of attracting celebrities and artists, Amalfi, a picturesque seaside resort that is also the largest town on the coast and Ravello, the highest town on the coast where the photo opportunities are unmatchable. Return to your hotel around 5pm.
DAY 10 – CAPRI ISLAND
This is going to be a full day on a wonderful island! At 9 AM, meet our local tour guide at the port, and together, you’ll embark on the ferry to Capri. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided visit starting from the vibrant Marina Grande port, leading you through the glamorous Piazzetta, where the world’s most beautiful people gather. Continue to explore the ancient ruins of Emperor Tiberius’ villas, the peaceful Charterhouse of San Giacomo, and the scenic Via Krupp. Next, take the chair lift to the top of Monte Solaro, where you’ll walk along paths offering stunning views of rock formations like the Natural Arch and the iconic Faraglioni rocks. For lunch, head to one of the charming restaurants in the Piazzetta, where our tour guide will be happy to recommend the best spots based on your preferences. In the afternoon, visit the famous Blue Grotto (subject to sea conditions), a must-see natural wonder. Afterward, you’ll return to your hotel by 5 PM. DAY 11 – CIAO, CIAO ITALIA…!
The driver will pick you up at your hotel for your private transfer to Rome Airport in approx 3 hours. If your departure airport is different, please let us know, and we will adjust the transfer accordingly.
